How to Use this System

Smart Defences follows a practical five-step process that teaches the body, mind, and spirit to work together—calm under pressure, flexible in motion, and fully aware of the environment.


Each step helps you let go of resistance and move with what’s in front of you instead of against it. Every challenge you meet acts like a bottleneck—a narrow point you must pass to continue forward. In training, that limitation might come from one of three sources: the practitioner (you), your self-discipline, or the process itself.

Rather than avoiding these limits, Smart Defences treats them as essential checkpoints. When you focus on whichever limitation appears first and work through it, you sharpen awareness and progress more efficiently.

Each breakthrough removes friction from the system, revealing the next point of focus. By recognising and improving these three elements—yourself, your discipline, and your process—you keep the system optimised.
